Wetland Restoration

Solila (Krtoli, Tivat Municipality) is an area of former salina where salt-production has already stopped long time ago. This coastal wetland is overgrown with hallophylus vegetation, attracts several animal species and is listed on the Ramsar list of wetlands of international importance. Some recent anthropogenic influences, however, have negative impacts on the biodiversity. The plan for enhancement of the natural conditions, creation of substitute habitats and control over water regimes has been prepared.
